Third International Conference on Networked Sensing Systems
May 31 - June 2, 2006
Chicago, Illinois, USA

Sponsored by Transducer Research Foundation
In cooperation with the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers(SICE)
and IEICE Technical Group on Sensor Networks

INSS 2006 is the third conference to focus on the symbiosis of networking and sensing technologies. It provides a forum of multidisciplinary discussions regarding networked sensing for researchers, engineers, and practitioners in various fields. Furthermore, it provides an opportunity for the further exploration of selected topics and for the presentation of the most recent research and development in these rapidly changing fields. The development and widening use of global networks and information terminals have brought about social change. In addition, the progress of sensor technologies has enabled the monitoring of various kinds of information. These technologies have been combined with wireless communications to produce richer application spaces for monitoring and control, such as earth environment, habitation environment information, home appliances, industrial apparatuses, human body information, medical treatment, and welfare apparatuses.
